After giving the green light (Green Light Cd), Ray Lema decided to stop time, sweet melodies, full of tenderness as African lullabies telling us the little secrets of life.
A piece of bread, a piece of roof, a bit of love, that’s the life he sings in ‘Cracies’. Ray Lema has inside him the asceticism of a seminarian education in which he has been raised, between the classical european music and Gregorian songs and the enormous energy of those years spent with Kabasele and Rochereau. His music has the charm of this duality: fluid and intimate ballads to jazzy minimalist effects (piano, percussion, guitar, vocals) and a certain rhythmic control thrown as an invitation to dance. Ray Lema is a man who writes and thinks at the same time. His creations are not explosive and immediate but the fruit of a slow maturation of the crazy years of his youth spent to discover the world and its abundance of music. Today, it is time to breathe and think over . Stop Time, Ray!!
